Pete Hitchcock – Binscombe Church

Pete grew up in a Christian home and became a Christian in his teens. He went through Art College and studied Product Design before doing a PGCE in Design and Technology. He taught D&T in Secondary Schools in Central London and Surrey before training for Christian ministry with Hook Evangelical Church and attending the Cornhill Training Course. After five years at HEC working as Outreach Coordinator he moved to Binscombe Church in 2006 as Pastor. He is married to Jenny and has three children. Pete enjoys camping on the west coast of France, sport (normally from the sideline cheering on his kids) and relaxing with the family in the countryside.

Mike Hitchings – Bethel Baptist Church, Farnham

I am Pastor at Bethel Baptist between Farnham and Aldershot. My first career was in Youth Justice. I trained in a Grace Baptist Church in Suffolk and with Union. I have been at Bethel since 2011. I am married to Kathryn, with three teenage children Eleanor, Connie and Reuben.

John Ross (Retired Pastor)

Born to Jewish parents, I turned to Jesus Christ as a teenager and started soaking up the word of God at a local Baptist church. I pastored Cranleigh Baptist Church in Surrey for 25 yrs. And then moved to Farnham Baptist Church. Daphne and I continue to live in Farnham, and worship at Bethel Baptist Church. I have been involved in the Surrey Gospel Partnership since it began, trying to encourage gospel churches to work together to make Christ known in this area. In “retirement” I have been helping smaller churches grow and develop, mentoring some younger pastors and getting alongside church leaders. Daphne and I enjoy travelling overseas to teach and encourage local churches in gospel ministry. My passion is to see gospel churches reaching their communities effectively with the gospel.

Sarah Shelley – Binscombe Church

Sarah grew up in a church-going household, and came to a living faith in Jesus in her teens. After a few years teaching Modern Languages in a secondary school in Buckinghamshire, she then worked for 12 years on the staff team of a church in Chesham, before moving to Godalming in 2018, where she is now the Families and Women’s worker at Binscombe Church. She enjoys discovering new walks in the beautiful Surrey countryside, trying her hand at some very amateur gardening, and exploring new cultures and countries when she can.
